Sekhem (pronounced sek-hem) is a form of Kemetic energy healing much like Reiki.
It is an ancient Egyptian word meaning “power,” “life force,” or “spiritual strength” and refers to the vital energy that flows through all living things, similar to Qi or Prana.
Ancient Egyptians believed that words and symbols were living forces and speaking, seeing and writing them activated their essence. So, even saying the word Sekhem creates a subtle shift of healing on a cellular and spiritual level. Sekhem can be understood and felt as a metaphysical current that animates, empowers and transmits divine will ✨
In temples priestesses and priest underwent rites to awaken and channel Sekhem. Learning to cultivate and direct Sekhem was central to traditional healing, rituals and temple practices.
